Read? What?

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

It is said that people read less and less thanks to the Internet and modern technology. Maybe it's true, but we believe we read? And what do we read? In our case there are Christian books and magazines, perhaps some magazines are also good studies to draw happy ... but as we read the Bible to get the teaching right directly from the source? Within a day, as we devote to God's Word? And when? Often we open the Bible happy when we need comfort in hard times, or when we go to visit the sick or lonely people. In our everyday life, and when all goes well, we forget about our appointment with the Word, and thus with God

Paul tells us that the Word of God is, first of all profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction ... Above all we parents know how difficult it is to apply these things to our children, sometimes we are tired or too busy. God himself wants, above all, teach, correct and return We then equip us to apply this to our children and why not, to one another.

Paul also tells us "that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped ..." and this is not only men but also to us women. If we want to be men and women of God we must not neglect our constant and daily with the Word of God

Psalm 119:11 says, "I have kept your word in my heart for not sin against you. "'re keeping the Word of God in you? The Bible is the standard you live with your life? Remember: God's Word will keep you away from sin or sin will keep you away from God's Word!

THE CRACK IN THE DIAMOND

"And I have this confidence: that he who began a good work in you, and bring it to completion until the day of Jesus Christ "
Philippians 1:6

The King of Iceland inherited a large diamond from his ancestors. It was a diamond that nobody had ever seen. The king made place this precious diamond in a crypt so that everyone could contemplate it, and put men on guard. One day, the guard protected the jewels, she noticed that the diamond had an obvious flaw and notified immediately to the king. The King rushed to see ... in fact, the diamond had a crack in very visible, summoned all the jewelers in the kingdom to seek advice. All said that the crack was very deep and that, if they had tried to remove it, the stone would lose all its value and its magnitude, the king was thoughtful when a jeweler came up and said, "If you give me a week to work the gem, maybe I can fix this leak. "At The king gave no importance to those words because it was impossible for other jewelers repair. Eventually, however, agreed.

When Elder for the week ending work, everyone rushed to see the diamond. The jeweler, from expert he was, had carved a rose in the diamond, so that crack had become invisible, hidden by a rose petal skillfully worked.

God takes care of us, working on our character, clears and transforms our shortcomings. God does not throw anything away to us and when we trust in his hands, he draws the best from us. He is our master craftsman, if we let Him do we become his masterpieces.

SOLUTION OR OUR GOD?

In those days, Moses, had already become an adult, he visited his brothers noticed the work of which they were weighed down and saw an Egyptian strikes one of his Jewish brethren. He turned his gaze back and forth, and since there was no one killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. (Exodus 2:11-25)

Any situation in our life there are usually two different ways to react. The way of God or our own. Moses is an example of a man who, on several occasions, I try both ways. In step Today we see what happened when he took control of the situation in his own way. Although his motives were pure, the liberation from the slavery of his people, his method was wrong. Moses committed three errors.

1. He focused his attention on the difficulties rather than the Lord. How often do you and I do the same thing? The injustice or suffering arising from a certain situation and catalyze our attention, trying to find a solution, we forget about our Almighty God

2. Moses leaned on his strength and his understanding. When a problem occurs, the natural response is to do everything possible to solve it and do it quickly, but this is not always the answer.

3. He acted on instinct instead of waiting for the opportune time and instructions from the Lord. If a situation seems urgent to solve the problem as soon as possible becomes our priority, but without accurate information or guidance of God, we could combine some real trouble.

Our solution may seem perfectly logical at that precise moment, but, as in the case of Moses, is not always the best solution. An Egyptian was killed and the people jew was not released at all, Moses was not accepted and understood by those who tried to help, his life took a totally unexpected which led him to graze sheep in the desert for 40 years.

All of us, in some situations of our lives, we acted like Moses and we have suffered the consequences. We must not forget however, that God does not reject that the errors of Moses and Moses did not prevent God to accomplish his plans in favor of His people. God uses those 40 years to strengthen the character of future leaders through the trials and loneliness of the desert, then gave him another chance.

Undeterred, therefore, the Lord God will do the same with us when we recognize our mistakes and we put ourselves at your disposal.

"... be strong and get to work!"

1 Chronicles 28:10
"... be strong and get to work!"

Here is a commentary by Albert Einstein about the crisis:

"We do not pretend that things will change if we always do the same. The crisis is the best blessing that a person or a country can have, because the crisis brings new projects. Creativity comes from anxiety, as the day comes from the dark night. The crisis stems invention, discoveries, major strategies. Those who pass the crisis over himself without falling behind. Who gives to the crisis in the failures and sorrows of his life, violates his talent and gives more value to the solutions to problems. The real crisis is the lack of jurisdiction. The drawback of the people and the States is laziness in finding the way out and the solutions. Without a crisis there are challenges, without challenges life is a routine, a slow death, there is no crisis without merit. It is the crisis that has seen the best of each one of us, no crisis, that wind is a caress. Speaking of the crisis and promote it to remain silent is to enhance conformity. The only crisis that may threaten your life is one in which no struggle to overcome it. "

How about these statements? As Christians, we live every day of the crisis, or evidence as we call them usually. Then ask ourselves: what do we do with these tests? How do we meet? We thank God that presents us with new challenges so that we can grow and mature in our faith in Christ? We allow the tests to do God's work in us?

God chose us to be part of His Kingdom and be courageous people, who do not pull back at the difficulties and reach the goal because they look to Christ, our King and Leader.
"We, therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, we set aside every weight and sin that so easily embraces us and let us run with perseverance the race that there is a proposal, he looked at Jesus, who creates faith and make it perfect. " Hebrews 12:1-2

Jesus is at home in your heart?

"... I pray that he gives you, according to the riches of His glory, to be powerfully strengthened by His Spirit, in the inner man, and ensure that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, because, being rooted and grounded in love, "
Ephesians 3:16-17

know Jesus Christ? How? For you is a historical figure, a hero to emulate, a great teacher of ethics, a Hollywood character, or what? And if you're a true Christian, Christ "is at home" in your heart? If you were to enter freely from room to room in your heart that things would disappoint him? You would put such questions as: "Why is this abomination here? What is that thing on the wall? What are they doing here as foreign magazines? What is that unworthy screensaver on your computer? Why so much dust on your Bible? "

The Apostle Paul made an interesting statement to the believers of Ephesus. He said" ... I pray that Christ may dwell in your hearts. .. " In the words of Paul the term "living" has a deeper meaning of what can be seen from a first reading. In the original language the meaning is " sit back and make this place home" . In other words, Paul was saying "My prayer is that Christ can not be a guest in your hearts, but comfortable at home in your heart. "

Sometimes it's hard to feel at home in some houses. In Sardinia, I met a woman who did not sit him in his expensive white leather couch for fear that it ruined, his home was so precious as untouchable. In other homes, however, you feel at ease the moment you enter.

We live our lives as true Christians and disciples of Christ so that he feels at ease in any room of our hearts, having absolute control over every area of \u200b\u200bour lives. We should be able to say "feel at ease Lord, shall enter where you want, open your cabinets? Go ahead. Wherever you want to go is all yours, every sector and every room belongs to you because you're not a guest, but the Lord of all that I have and I am! "

Then Jesus really is at home in your heart? And 'the Lord of your heart and your life?

Contentment in all circumstances I am a Christian

"I was very pleased that you thought back to me, and I thank the Lord for this. I know I will always remember you, but there was no opportunity to prove it. And do not talk like that because I missed something, so I learned to be content with any situation where I am. I accept both poverty and wealth. I learned to accept everything, to stand on a full stomach or empty stomach, abundance and need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. "
Philippians 4:10-13
There have been times in your life when you felt really satisfied and happy? Who or what caused you in this pleasant feelings?
For many people the feeling of satisfaction is, if it ever comes, when all the circumstances are just as they want or when people meet their expectations ... but how much is total and complete satisfaction? Circumstances change in a split second, people often disappoint us and dreams, more often than not, are not realized. In addition, we ourselves may be a disappointment, even accidentally, to others. No one can avoid complicated circumstances when they are beyond our control, so you better learn how to face each day with peace and quiet instead of frustration and anxiety. But is it possible? From the perspective of God, and then Paul, who left us this testimony, yes.
- The satisfaction must not be controlled or determined by external circumstances. A change of circumstances could bring temporary relief, but at the same time very shaky. Paul was in prison when he wrote these words, with the prospect of a possible death sentence. Therefore, satisfaction is not a matter of what you have or where you live, but of what we think is important.
- Fulfillment comes from an inner state not by external situations. The calm and serenity of Paul came from a mind focused on Christ. Choose to trust in Jesus, without any conditions allowed Paul to govern their emotions due to the presence of the Holy Spirit in him
- The satisfaction you learn with experience. You can not acquire reading a book or listening to the experience of others, or a good sermon. Satisfaction beyond the circumstances you learn every day in the middle of a difficult or unpleasant. Paul learned to be happy along the way, in the midst of persecution, and disease in prison. The Lord used to turn all these difficulties.
- The situations that cause frustration, anxiety and dissatisfaction are the same that God can use to effect change in us, targeted to teach us that He is able to satisfy all our need and to show who really "can do all things in him who strengthens us!"
If you think you've hit the bottom of your dissatisfaction and disappointment are ready to look up to God to give him carte blanche and allow him to teach He is sufficient and is all you need to be fulfilled and satisfied.

with your lips' Cause if you say to others that Jesus is your Lord,
and believe in your heart God has raised from death, thou shalt be saved.
It is believing with the heart that man becomes righteous before God,
then confirming it with his lips to receive salvation. ;
From the Letter of Paul to the Romans 10:9-10
(from practical life, the New Testament in Contemporary Language)
;
When I say that "I am a Christian" not scream from the rooftops that they are "holy"
rather softly whisper that I lost, but was found and forgiven by Jesus Christ!

When I say that "I am a Christian" , I'm not proud of my qualities,
confess that I fall quite often and I need Christ to be driven every day.

When I say that "are Christian not consider myself to be strong,
rather declare that I am weak and I need the power of God every day to keep going.

When I say that "I am a Christian" , do not show all of my successes,
rather admit that I've fallen many times and I need God to I can raise and obey Him

When I say that "I am a Christian" , do not pretend to be perfect, my flaws are too visible,
but I also know that in the eyes of God, I have a great value because Christ died for me.

When I say that "I am a Christian" not hide my pain experienced in certain circumstances.
I've had my share of difficulties, but I try to fix the mind on the goodness and generosity of God towards me.

When I say that "I am a Christian" are not holier than you!
'm just a sinner who has found favor with God ...
and I recognize that the only reason for my salvation is Christ's love for me!

How To Make A Wooden Dustpan

Goodbye Hanna!

About a month ago, Schneider was fine. He was engaged in evangelization in Monte Porzio Catone, a country that is vicno in Rome, in fact in the circular letter of November he wrote:

"This Christmas will remain in Rome, because I would like to be present to the market. Surely there will be people who are alone, that I can do good. Certainly I will miss my family in Switzerland ... "

The desire to evangelize in a special time of the year was stronger than the desire to spend that time with his family. But the Lord had other plans.

Later they began to experience pain, loss of appetite and weakness. The drugs could not soothe the pain.

On December 19, Petra, a dear friend, he spoke by phone and told us that Hanna was very weak and strong to catch a plane to get treatment in Switzerland. "I want to leave until I have the strength to take a trip" were his words.

The game is Dec. 20 in the morning, very early in the afternoon and his doctor had already done in a hospital near his brother's house.

doctors after finding a tumor in the liver, several other outbreaks in the stomach and lungs. prepared serve notice of the seriousness of the situation and that the disease could have a rapid advance. They also said that sometimes, a cure, can give good results. Hanna

Some comments made in Petra, after talking with doctors:

"Do not fear the future, so if the Lord wants to accept the path of suffering."

"The doctors are very friendly, helpful and capable. The primary is a believer. Nurse that I washed my hair told me that his mom is a believer. I told him not just come from a believing mother, himself in need of salvation in Jesus Christ "

Some comments received from the Petra, during those days:
" In all this I have not heard even a hint of complaint by Hanna. She is very grateful to God for the care he is receiving and continues to evangelize in the hospital.
is greatly blessed in having close to his brother, who is a believer, with his family. What a relief not having to face these times alone, but with a man at his side, who does everything to be a blessing for her.

He asked me to inform you, because it was thought that perhaps someone had tried to contact her but could not find. Does not want you in thought for her.

not asked me to ask you to pray for his recovery. I was not even mentioned the thought of healing. Indeed, you agree to peace with God's will for his life, even if it includes suffering and feels cured by the Lord in a special way. "But he has a great
heavy heart. He did not cried for his illness, but he cried for his nephew Christoph ... The greatest desire is to see Hanna saved his nephew. And not only him but also Virgil. She said: "I prayed the Lord to show me and Virgil Christoph saved before he died."
I do not know if the Lord will answer that prayer. But it strikes me that Hanna's heart in his suffering temporary thinks the eternal suffering of people dear to his heart.

How fast can change our lives. About a month ago she was fine. When a test takes no more time to prepare for it. Preparations must be made before! Thank God, Hanna was prepared by living in close communion with the Lord. I pray that everyone has this close communion with the Lord, so you have peace and joy in everyday life in the deepest trials. "

On January 2, Hanna Schneider is physically dead, but we know with certainty that the moment in which the Her body is off, entered the Lord's presence. Now he is well, in the glory of our Lord and His. We miss her very much, ours is not a goodbye, but goodbye. Public

below, the greetings of several people who knew and loved Hanna, because it seems to me the best recognition of a faithful servant of Lord, who, until the last, remained at the forefront in the work of God May we all follow his example!

"Hanna has been for me a comfort and a very present help in my years of study and all'IBEI was at university, when I lived with her along with Petra. It's great that in real time, thanks to Facebook, from all over the world have prayed and cried for her. He left a sign of great love for us all "- BARBARA EMMANUELLE

" I think we will miss that smile a little friend who has done so much good in the dell'IBEI goers like me, who in addition to the strong desire to study, they brought with them their vicissitudes existential. I believe that we will miss that face the sun, that every time we did see a piece of heaven ... you will be missed ... but we will miss him for a while ... until we meet again in heaven, where our predecessors ... Glory be to God for this precious gift for so many years has given us! - Tonino APPLES

"I know have this summer, was at my house about thirty minutes, but in that short time has managed to convey joy and serenity!. - ELENA CATGIU

"Hello Hanna, I'll remember you forever. The camp will never be the same without you: ("- Jonathan APPLES (ten years)

"Hanna: an example for all of us ... until the last has been at work for God and in the hospital, his thought was: "pray for my recovery," but "to pray ..." and thought of the people dear to his heart that still do not know Lord. We are certain that God has spared painful therapies, and he accepted it with all the honors in the sky. We find there. The heart is sad and her eyes streaked with tears, but trust in God will fill the void that left in our hearts.
May God enable us to follow his example of an evangelist full of love for the lost.

Goodbye Hanna! "- MARIA LUISA CINI
