Read? What?

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

It is said that people read less and less thanks to the Internet and modern technology. Maybe it's true, but we believe we read? And what do we read? In our case there are Christian books and magazines, perhaps some magazines are also good studies to draw happy ... but as we read the Bible to get the teaching right directly from the source? Within a day, as we devote to God's Word? And when? Often we open the Bible happy when we need comfort in hard times, or when we go to visit the sick or lonely people. In our everyday life, and when all goes well, we forget about our appointment with the Word, and thus with God

Paul tells us that the Word of God is, first of all profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction ... Above all we parents know how difficult it is to apply these things to our children, sometimes we are tired or too busy. God himself wants, above all, teach, correct and return We then equip us to apply this to our children and why not, to one another.

Paul also tells us "that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped ..." and this is not only men but also to us women. If we want to be men and women of God we must not neglect our constant and daily with the Word of God

Psalm 119:11 says, "I have kept your word in my heart for not sin against you. "'re keeping the Word of God in you? The Bible is the standard you live with your life? Remember: God's Word will keep you away from sin or sin will keep you away from God's Word!

THE CRACK IN THE DIAMOND

"And I have this confidence: that he who began a good work in you, and bring it to completion until the day of Jesus Christ "
Philippians 1:6

The King of Iceland inherited a large diamond from his ancestors. It was a diamond that nobody had ever seen. The king made place this precious diamond in a crypt so that everyone could contemplate it, and put men on guard. One day, the guard protected the jewels, she noticed that the diamond had an obvious flaw and notified immediately to the king. The King rushed to see ... in fact, the diamond had a crack in very visible, summoned all the jewelers in the kingdom to seek advice. All said that the crack was very deep and that, if they had tried to remove it, the stone would lose all its value and its magnitude, the king was thoughtful when a jeweler came up and said, "If you give me a week to work the gem, maybe I can fix this leak. "At The king gave no importance to those words because it was impossible for other jewelers repair. Eventually, however, agreed.

When Elder for the week ending work, everyone rushed to see the diamond. The jeweler, from expert he was, had carved a rose in the diamond, so that crack had become invisible, hidden by a rose petal skillfully worked.

God takes care of us, working on our character, clears and transforms our shortcomings. God does not throw anything away to us and when we trust in his hands, he draws the best from us. He is our master craftsman, if we let Him do we become his masterpieces.

SOLUTION OR OUR GOD?

In those days, Moses, had already become an adult, he visited his brothers noticed the work of which they were weighed down and saw an Egyptian strikes one of his Jewish brethren. He turned his gaze back and forth, and since there was no one killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. (Exodus 2:11-25)

Any situation in our life there are usually two different ways to react. The way of God or our own. Moses is an example of a man who, on several occasions, I try both ways. In step Today we see what happened when he took control of the situation in his own way. Although his motives were pure, the liberation from the slavery of his people, his method was wrong. Moses committed three errors.

1. He focused his attention on the difficulties rather than the Lord. How often do you and I do the same thing? The injustice or suffering arising from a certain situation and catalyze our attention, trying to find a solution, we forget about our Almighty God

2. Moses leaned on his strength and his understanding. When a problem occurs, the natural response is to do everything possible to solve it and do it quickly, but this is not always the answer.

3. He acted on instinct instead of waiting for the opportune time and instructions from the Lord. If a situation seems urgent to solve the problem as soon as possible becomes our priority, but without accurate information or guidance of God, we could combine some real trouble.

Our solution may seem perfectly logical at that precise moment, but, as in the case of Moses, is not always the best solution. An Egyptian was killed and the people jew was not released at all, Moses was not accepted and understood by those who tried to help, his life took a totally unexpected which led him to graze sheep in the desert for 40 years.

All of us, in some situations of our lives, we acted like Moses and we have suffered the consequences. We must not forget however, that God does not reject that the errors of Moses and Moses did not prevent God to accomplish his plans in favor of His people. God uses those 40 years to strengthen the character of future leaders through the trials and loneliness of the desert, then gave him another chance.

Undeterred, therefore, the Lord God will do the same with us when we recognize our mistakes and we put ourselves at your disposal.
